JD The DJ! I have always had a passion for music. Growing up, I was not allowed to watch much TV, so I turned too music. Always alphabetizing my parents music collection and listening to the oldies.
Then in jr high, my 2 best friends and I had a competition of who had the largest music collection, but they had to have at least 33 hits on the radio etc. When the djs’s came to my school for our dances I watched and learned and next I was hooked and hired.
In high school, I would setup all the PA gear for the pep assemblies. I started djing all my high school dances. Free time, I would drive to Seattle to help at C89, a local high school dance radio station.
In college, I DJ’d for the college radio statioon, KUGR, where I also started the roadshow and dj’d all the dorm and frat parties.
After college, working in retail I realized I wanted to live my dream and be a full time DJ.
I started djing clubs, school dances, and weddings. Then it grew from there… always trying to go above and beyond and help. I obtained my food handlers card, and my bartending license. Then at a couple weddings the officiant did not show up so I went and obtained my officiant license in case I needed to fill in.

Having the microphone, realizing things that could be done in a more timely manner and after attending networking meetings, I realized I wanted to be a certified wedding planner. I started taking courses with ABC(Assoc. Bridal Consultants) and life and career went from there. I have been attending national and international trade shows in the DJ, Special Event, Wedding, Radio, Marketing, Gifts, A/V shows, Catering, all to help increase my knowledge and expertise.

I love all genres of music, that keep people smiling and dancing. I love entertaining and making sure people have fun, dance, and smile!! From teaching dances, to audience participation, keeping the event flowing.
